Hello everyone! I hope you all are having a great day! I am sharing with all of you how to tackle tasks quicker and become better with your time management. I know that this can be quite difficult and it can hard to motivate yourself to complete assignments, but I hope that these tips and tricks will help you!
Write down tasks based on urgency and importance
Important and urgent tasks- do these ones first!
Important- decide when you are going to do these tasks
To Do- set these aside to do later
Assign a Time Limit To Each Task
Schedule out a list of tasks to complete at a scheduled time, like study from 12pm-2pm Then, take a 30 minute break up until 2:30pm
Helps you be productive and stay on top of tasks
Use a Calendar
Evenly space out times and assignments
Write down due dates and deadlines
Helps manage all your activities
Be Aware of Your Deadlines
Makes notes of when you need to finish them
Get ahead, DO NOT wait until the last minute
Use a Timer
One of the most useful tools to have
Assign yourself 20-40 minutes doing a certain task and take 5 minute breaks in between
I recommend the Tomato Timer App
If you know that the assignment is due on Friday, pretend that it is due on Wednesday
This tricks your mind to help you stay ahead and on top of your assignments
Set Reminders For Yourself
On your phone, computer, etc.; set reminders 15 minutes before the due date to ensure you have completed the assignment
With meetings, set reminders as well,15 minutes before it starts to prepare yourself
DO NOT multitask! This is one of the worst things to do when you are trying to get ahead
Focus on one thing at a time
You can even close tabs that you are not using to eliminate distractions and help focus your mind on one task
Block Out Distractions
Anything and Everything that will keep you distracted, get rid of!
Put your phone on do not disturb and keep it away from you
Get things done in a quiet work space
Keep everything you need in one area--- pens, pencils, erasers, calculator, etc.
Track Your Time Spent
Use a countdown timer or just a regular timer to see how long it takes for you to complete certain tasks
This helps knowing what assignments you complete quicker and which ones take longer
Time pressure helps you stay focused and work more efficiently
Start a Routine and Stick With It
Once you have a daily routine, you will be productive and mange your time better
