How To Reduce Trash/Waste In Your Everyday Life

Hello everyone, hope you all are having an amazing April!! In this blog post I thought I would spread some information with all of you about how we can help the plant and our environment by these little tasks. Each little thing that you do will help the planet in any possible way. I encourage you all to try and make little changes in your everyday life to help our planet.

Use a reusable bottle

  • Instead of buying plastic water bottles, choose to buy a reusable bottle that you use over and over again.

  • You save a lot more money, help the environment, and reduce waste!


Use reusable grocery bags

  • When going to the store, use reusable bags to save money and help cut down one time use bags.

  • Comes in many different styles, designs, and colors. Super convenient and helpful.


Purchase wisely

  • Be aware of what package products are recyclable. Check all labels!

  • A great way to help our environment out.


Recycle

  • Take part in actively recycling. Keep different bins with designated labels like cans, trash, recycle, etc.


Avoid single use products

  • Try not to use one time use plastic utensils, coffee cups, and straws. Such a huge waste! Sure, it is convenient, but awful for the environment.

  • Switch to reusable and durable products. Like silverware, cups, and cloth rags.


Rely on reusable containers

  • Switch to glass containers or silicone containers. Use these for leftover food, storage, and organizing.

  • Food will last longer and will not get stale quick.


Buy in bulk

  • Believe it or not, buying in bulk reduces waste consumption.

  • There is less unnecessary plastic packaging and you save money!


Shop local

  • Not only are you supporting local businesses, but local markets use less amounts of plastic.

  • This is a great way to save money on produce and reduce waste.


Repurpose products

  • Don't throw away things that you can surely repurpose. Like glass jars, newspapers, etc. You can find many ways to reuse these items.
