Hello everyone, I hope you all are having a wonderful day! In this post, I am bringing you another poem post. This poem is about the happiness you feel when you are with someone. It's about just taking in the small things and making the most of them while being with someone you love. It's the indescribable feeling you have toward them which makes you fall even more in love with them. I hope you all enjoy reading this poem!
Dreaming With You
Your bright eyes
Remind me of the clear blue sky.
Your breathless charms
Make me feel like I am on cloud nine.
Your simple way of talking
Intoxicates my eardrums like a sweet melody.
Your contagious smile wraps my body in happiness.
Your kind gestures remind me there is no one like you.
A quiet breeze waving through my hair
As I lay down and watch the clouds with you.
Picking at our brains with the wackiest thoughts and observations
As we each take turns playing guess the shape in the sky.
An innocent and airy way to pass time and
Put our imaginations to the test.
As you were talking and building upon your thought,
I couldn’t help but notice how perfect you were in the sunlight.
Between your eyes shining like the rays of sun and
The pure happiness radiating on your face
Were all moments when I knew I couldn’t get enough of you.
Your careful thoughts and wise words
Always made me fascinated by you.
I know that I’ve truly enjoyed your company over the years and
Never wanted to let go of the little perfect memories we were making.
The horse-shaped clouds in the sky were a reminder of what happy days were about.
Everything from the wispy clouds to the large compact clouds
Felt like an adventure with you.
Your beautiful laugh that made me smile for hours
Showed me that life is simple and has meaning.
I’ve never felt this way before and
You’ve unlocked my favorite childhood memory.
This was something that I had sentimental feelings for and
Sharing this memory with you felt like we were building something together.
Even as the days would get darker at night and the
Clouds would slowly disappear into the starlight.
We had something else to look forward to as well,
Star gazing.
Probably why you were so good at guessing the shape in the sky.
You could easily put a picture to a speckle and
Bring out the craziest creature you could come up with.
And I was so happy to be right by your side listening to your stories.
But as night falls
So, do the stories.
The moments we have shared are now memories.
While we say our goodnights to each other,
I can’t help but be excited about what tomorrow will bring.
Either another horse-shaped cloud or an astrology lesson.
Either way, I can’t wait to lay by side you
As we look up at the sky and dream about our abliss.
