Driving Towards Foliage

Hello everyone, I hope you all are having a wonderful day! I am sharing with you all a new poem post! This poem is about the transition from February to March. While we still have the cold weather from February and crave the warm spring days in March, we have to remind ourselves that in order to see brighter days, we have to get through the thought times first. I hope you all enjoy reading this poem!

Driving Towards Foliage

All leaves have fallen down

And now new ones are growing.

Basically, meaning

It’s time to change and start new.

So, as I drive my day away,

I look out the window where the bright sky is clear.

But my windshield has not defrosted

And that’s okay, I will eventually see through it clearly.

The tree branches are ready to fall off,

But somehow the birds still sing lively.

The snow on the ground shows me that I am still stuck with the cold,

But the flowers in stores show me I’m one step closer to spring.

The light, fluffy snow that barely sticks to my car

Covers my body in hopes that things will become brighter.

The bitter, cold temperatures freeze me

While my warm and full heart tries to stay warm.

The obnoxious early mornings make me really dislike the winter.

While the cool and crisp nights help me relax.

Yet, those sunny days make me appreciate them more and

Make me wish for more good days.

As the leaves want to turn green,

The strong trees learn to adapt.

Where most animals hibernate,

We take advantage of this time to make snow angels.

As we quickly want warm weather and longer days,

We also learn that the short days help us to relax easier.

Though it would be nice to live a carefree life,

It wouldn’t be possible with the blizzard storms.

So, the next time we crave warmer weather,

Just know we have to get through the tough times in order to see happier days.

Though change can seem difficult and scary at first,

It helps us to appreciate the moments we have now and what we’ve accomplished.

Thank you all very much for reading this poem post! I really appreciate all the love and support I receive from writing these types of posts! Also, I have more posts planned for this month and I cannot wait to share them with you all! I hope you all have a great rest of your week and I will see you all in the next post!
